    Zunächst vielen Dank für die Einblicke! Ein Go-Around ist natürlich ein absolut etabliertes Standardverfahren, keine Frage. Meines Erachtens wurde die Go Around Thematik lange Zeit zu wenig berücksichtigt und diskutiert, da der Wunsch nach absoluter Effizienz, falschem Ego, „press-on-itis“ und möglicherweise auch die Angst vor Repressalien im Vordergrund standen. Das hat sich jedoch in den letzten Jahren durch ein Umdenken bei Airlines und allen Beteiligten erfreulicherweise geändert. Dennoch bin ich der Ansicht, dass ein solch direkter Eingriff in den Flugweg, gerade durch ATC Anweisungen, gut begründet sein sollte. Die Frage bleibt, ob hier ein konkreter Vorfall, wie ein Birdstrike beim vorherigen Anflug, der Auslöser war und eine Pistenkontrollfahrt zwingend notwendig wurde oder ob bereits die bloße Sichtung von Vögeln für diese Entscheidung des Lotsen ausreichte. Natürlich fehlt uns hier das picture des Lotsen und etwaige örtliche rules & regulations aber spannend bleibt es trotzdem. Solche Abläufe sind zweifellos interessant, vor allem, wenn man bedenkt, wie unterschiedlich die Handhabung in verschiedenen Regionen sein kann. Mich würde auch interessieren, wie die Cockpit-Crew dies wahrnimmt: eher als berechtigte Sicherheitsmaßnahme oder doch als Eingriff, der hinterfragt werden könnte.

    • @PilotWanderlust
      @PilotWanderlust 10 днів тому

      @@TopoftheStackAirTrafficSafety Vielen Dank! Sehr guter Beitrag! In diesem Fall fragte der Lotse die Piloten ob die Bahn frei sei und diese verneinten. Verstehe daher, dass er uns in den GA schickte. Aber dein Gedanke ist berechtigt und es gibt Situationen in denen auf Tiere auf der Bahn unter Umständen keine Rücksicht genommen werden kann. Ich würde bei einem Problem eine GA-Anweisung wegen einem Fuchs auf der Bahn hinterfragen und auf die Dringlichkeit der Landung bestehen.

    Very impressive. So the approach has to be continued even you get an engine fire. In that case would memory items apply in order to minimize demage? Or would you ignore and handle the situation once you're on ground?

    • @PilotWanderlust
      @PilotWanderlust 15 днів тому

      @@layercake5864 Correct, in case of eng fire we would delay the memory items and shut down the engine after landing. Landing has priority in an emergency situation with fire so this has to be assured first and as fast as possible.
